The Birds Sing a Dawn Chorus

In April 2020, Edward Drewitt woke up earlier than the birds to get out into the Forest of Dean to record their songs.

You can listen to the beautiful music in the recording here. Can you recognise any of the birds? The blackbird is loud, and there's blue tits, or is it grey tits? A pheasant calls and maybe a chiff chaff!

In spring, birds arrive in the Forest of Dean from all across the world. Chiff chaffs, willow warblers, tree pipits, pied flycatchers and nightingales. Can you imagine where they've come from, and what do they like about the forest?
